About

Whole Person Healing

Welcome! So glad you are here. I am a board certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Psychotherapist in the state of California since 2020. I completed my graduate degree in Social Work at Cal State Long Beach in 2013 and my undergraduate degree in Social Welfare at Cal State Northridge in 2007. Aside from the degrees and education, my heart's calling since a young child lived in advocacy, equality, anti-racism, inclusivity, and empowerment. The majority of my work prior to my current clinical practice was dedicated to supporting the parent-child dyad and pregnant and post birth individuals that experienced perinatal depression and anxiety disorders as a result of earlier life trauma. Beyond my clinician role, I am also a parent of two wonderful human beings, a chocolate lab (who also thinks she is a human), and spouse. My clinical practice best serves individuals who are experiencing trauma responses that often are identified as symptoms of depression, anxiety, relational challenges, stress, low-self esteem, intense emotions, numbing/dissociative patterns, and/or parenting dissatisfaction as a result of trauma, planned or unplanned pregnancies, family issues, life changes, lifestyle patterns, or maybe you don’t know what it is or why, but you find it difficult to be in agency and live in authenticity in one or all of your roles, identities, and/or parts of self. I find it most helpful to pull from various therapy modalities to meet the client's needs and support the whole person healing approach. I am committed to fostering a warm, empathic, inclusive, trauma-informed, anti-racist, and anti-oppression experience. Whether you are ready to start therapy or are contemplating your next step, I hope that you continue to move your process forward. Working in this field has truly been a privilege and an honor. Being a Latinx individual growing up in an underserved neighborhood, oldest child to an immigrant single parent, survivor of intergenerational cycles of trauma, and with limited resources; I understand the importance of healing beyond immediate coping skills. Please know that you are deserving and worthy of the life you envision and desire. I offer a free 15 minute consultation for you and I to discuss what to expect from me, your healing needs, and best options towards your goal beforehand. Just scroll up and click on the contact icon. Complete and send the information. Plan to hear from me within 48 hours. Thank you for visiting my website. "Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself." -Desiderius Erasmus

Testimonials

“She provided a safe and calming space where I was able to learn about my body and the way it holds/responds to stress and trauma. I also appreciated her gentle approach in challenging my unhelpful thoughts. It’s nice to reflect back on all the growth.”

Previous Client

“Claudia is most definitely doing what she was born to do. She helped provide tools and resources that have been so illuminating but she also gave afforded me the opportunities to resolve my issues in real time without fear but, rather, with confidence.”

Previous Client

“Claudia was so incredibly helpful in my healing journey. I felt supported as I did the tough work and I felt seen and understood as my whole self, including the cultural nuances of being the daughter of Mexican immigrants.”
